Why You Need to Learn How to Love “Today” More than “Tomorrow” by Lawrence E. Adjah

Today is yesterday’s “tomorrow.”

Do not continue to put off important matters like you (and I) own or could buy time.

There are conversations you need to have, work you need to start, forgiveness you need to extend, advances of love you need to make, there are things you need to do which the Spirit (of the Lord) has prompted you to do.

But you put it off like tomorrow is guaranteed, like today wasn’t the grace of God saying, “I love you and am patient enough to give you more time.”

It is written, “Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go into such and such a town and spend a year there and trade and make a profit”— yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes.” (James 4:13)

Today is yesterday’s “tomorrow.”

May the Lord give you (and I) the wisdom, ability and will to do what we must today, because we have no claim on tomorrow. In Jesus’ Name, we pray, Amen and Amen.
