Today is yesterday’s “tomorrow.” Do not continue to put off important matters like you (and I) own or could buy time.
There are conversations you need to have, work you need to start, forgiveness you need to extend, advances of love you need to make, there are things you need to do which the Spirit (of the Lord) has prompted you to do. But you put it off like tomorrow is guaranteed, like today wasn’t the grace of God saying, “I love you and am patient enough to give you more time.”
"Today is yesterday’s 'tomorrow.'"
We often treat our future selves as the ones who will finally do the hard work of relationship building or personal growth. But the "infrastructure" of a meaningful life is built in the small, daily choices we make right now. The grace of today is all we are promised. Don't waste it waiting for a tomorrow that may never come.
When we delay the acts of love and connection that the Spirit prompts us to do, we aren't just losing time—we are losing the opportunity to be the building blocks of belonging for someone else. Your "today" is someone else's answered prayer.
Choose to love today. Start the conversation. Extend the grace. Do the work. Tomorrow will take care of itself.
