SUCCESS BY GOD'S STANDARDS

A reflection on the long-term impact of our work and how divine success is often measured by the seeds we plant for future generations.

Have you considered your work may be planting seeds for the trees your great grandchildren’s generation will sit under?

Not everything God calls you to do will be fully realized in your lifetime. Consider Abraham’s obedience impacted descendants He never had a chance to meet (you and I).

He is an eternal and intergenerational God who exists outside of time, so it is reasonable to believe your work has implications far beyond yours.

So for the weary, discouraged and uncertain yet faithful builders:

"May God help you to finish your (part of the relay) race. May God help you to be as faithful as you are sacrificial, to give of yourself for a cause you may not fully get to enjoy yourself."

May God help you to enjoy the journey and May God help you to measure success not merely by what you see, but by your obedience to what He said, in Jesus’ Name we pray, Amen and Amen.
